Offering - Vol. 2

Format: CD
Release Date World: Monday 13th July 1998

Last years "Offering" had a good success and the very positive feedback brought us to the decision to release a new Offering presenting K7’s current and future program. We thank everybody who supported us and all K7 fans with a full lenth CD with exclusive tracks and remixes and an extensive booklet to the price of a single CD. Take a look into the future!
"Offering Vol.2"s excellent tracklisting presents some K7 highlights including some tracks available on CD for the first time, such as the remixes of KHAO by Smith & Mighty and Terranova, vinyl releases so far. The "Rainbow for left-handers" remix of Terrence Parker’s "Play Ah Hate Ah" by cult composer Peter Thomas and a track by the new K7 signing Ian Simmonds are previously unreleased. Ian has already released music under the name of Juryman on Ninja Tune and SSR and collaborated on the Juryman vs Spacer album on Howie B’s label Pussyfoot. Offering features him with a new jazzy Detroit track.
To complete this trip through Modern Sounds Of Electronics we included the DJ Kicks tracks by Terranova and DJ Cam, the new single by Frankfurts shooting star Shantel "Tell me why…", the funky-electro Ersatzaudio remix of Impulse’s "Wall Of Pressure" and an unreleased mix of the Smith & Mighty DJ Kicks single "I Don’t Know."
A bonus track at the end: a title on our new sublabel Studio 54, already "single of the week" in NME – "the most wicked Helter Skelter version ever!" – produced by Frankfurt based Albrecht Kunze it’s played on heavy rotation by Andrea Parker and the white label was elected Single Of The Year in the Warp Office Charts. Phew!
Power music, little price – brought to you by K7! Just Enjoy!
